AppyBag (“we”, “our”, “us” or “AppyBag”) is committed to keeping your personal data safe.   • when you use our Services or access our Sites, for example, to place an order, to receive money, to process payments, we collect information about the transaction, as well as other information associated with the transaction such as amount, amount paid for products or services, merchant information, including information about any funding instruments used to complete the transaction.

  • when you browse and use our Sites (before and after you create an account with us).

How we use Your Information

We will only process the data we collect about you if there is a reason for doing so, and if that reason is permitted under data protection law. AppyBag uses the data it collects for purposes including:

  • To manage our business needs, such as monitoring, analysing, and improving the Services and the Sites’ performance and functionality;

  • To operate the Sites and provide the Services, including initiate or receive a payment; authenticate your access to an Account; create an account connection between your Account and a third-party account or platform; and keep your Account and financial information up to date.

  • To restrict various forms of abuse of the AppyBag services, such as fraudulent activities, denial of service attacks, spamming, unauthorized logins and other actions that violate our Terms & Conditions, or are prohibited by law;

  • To use cookies and other tracking technologies to provide a targeted display, feature, Service or offer to you and/or to work with other third-parties such as merchants, advertising or analytics companies to provide these personalised services (also called interest-based marketing);

  • To enable our customer support team to help you with any enquiries or complaints in the most efficient way possible and to provide a positive customer experience;

  • To use your submitted comments and feedback regarding the Sites and the services, we may use such comments and feedback on the Sites and in any marketing or advertising materials. We will only identify you for this purpose by your first name and the city in which you live; and

  • To receive push notifications from us through our mobile application, we may send you push notifications relating to the services that you have requested from us and information about our services and offers.

When Information We Collect Through Our Sites May Be Disclosed to Third Parties

We endeavour to handle your personal data as private and confidential. We would like to bring to your awareness our obligations to disclose data in the following four exceptional cases permitted by law, and the other situations set out below. These are:

  • Where there is a duty to the public to disclose

  • Where disclosure is required to protect our interest

  • Where disclosure is made at your request or with your consent

If you make a complaint about the service we have provided, we may be obliged to forward details about your complaint, including your personal data, to the relevant ombudsman. Security Measures for Information Collected Through Our Sites

We maintain technical, physical, and administrative security measures designed to provide reasonable protection for your Personal Data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, and alteration. The security measures include firewalls, data encryption, physical access controls to our data centres, and information access authorisation controls. While we are dedicated to securing our systems and Services, you are responsible for securing and maintaining the privacy of your password(s) and Account/profile registration information and verifying that the Personal Data we maintain about you is accurate and current. We are not responsible for protecting any Personal Data that we share with a third-party based on an account connection that you have authorised. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will take steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the Sites; any transmission is at your own risk. Retention of Your Data

Personal data is kept no longer than necessary in order to be able to satisfy the purpose of the processing. Personal data is deleted or anonymized on a regular basis when it is no longer relevant for the purposes for which it has been collected.

Children

The Sites and Services are not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information, including Personal Data, from children or other individuals who are not legally able to use our Sites and Services. If we obtain actual knowledge that we have collected Personal Data from a child under the age of 18, we will promptly delete it, unless we are legally obligated to retain such data.

Minimum Age to Become an AppyBag Member

You must be at least 18 years of age to become an AppyBag Member.

Privacy Policies of any Linked Websites or Other Parties

This privacy policy only directs AppyBag’s practices for the personal (and other) data that we may obtain about you through any of the Sites. Please be aware that when you use or access any of the Sites, you may be directed to other websites that are beyond our control, and AppyBag is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties or the content of linked websites. We advise you to read the posted privacy policy and terms of use whenever interacting with any third-party website, app, or other offering.

How we use Cookies and Tracking Technologies

When you visit our Sites, use our Services, or visit a third-party website for which we provide online services, we and our business partners and vendors may use cookies and other tracking technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to recognise you as a User and to customise your online experiences, the Services you use, and other online content and advertising; measure the effectiveness of promotions and perform analytics; and to mitigate risk, prevent potential fraud, and promote trust and safety across our Sites and Services.
